Many arrested, fined in Oman for not wearing masks

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police are issuing violation notices to many people for not wearing masks in public places.

ROP said in a statement: "Police Headquarters of Al Batinah South Governorate issued a number of fine notices against people for not wearing masks and violating the decisions and conditions of the Supreme Committee for dealing with COVID-19."

Previously, Public Prosecution had announced a fine of OMR20 for those found not wearing masks in public spaces.
