Coronavirus: Migrant man in quarantine, 46-year-old wife runs away with lover

A migrant worker who was kept in quarantined in MP’s Chhatarpur district has complained to the police that his 46-year-old wife has eloped with her lover.

The 50-year-old migrant worker returned to his village Munderi on May 19. He worked at construction sites in Delhi and his family lived with him till around one and a half years ago, when his wife returned home with the children.

The man said he quarantined himself on the first floor of his house and his wife and kids lived on the ground floor.

On May 24, when he woke up, he found out his room locked from outside. When he managed to get out, his wife was nowhere to be seen and the kids didn’t have a clue, either, according to his complaint.

The man wrapped gamcha around his face and went house to house to look for his wife.

Police has therefore filed a missing person complaint and is looking for the mother of three.

Madhya Pradesh’s Covid-19 hotspot Indore saw another 56 cases of the coronavirus disease on Sunday, taking the overall tally in the district to 3,064.
