The woman escaped with minor injuries after the shocking attack
by Cormac O'SheaA woman received minor injuries after being attacked by two teenagers in Co Kilkenny on Monday night.
The woman, aged in her 40s, was walking through Bolton Woods, Callan shortly after midnight when the youths approached her.
One of the teenagers hit the woman with a stick while the other kicker her, KCLR96fm reports.
Both then fled the scene with the woman lucky to get away with minor injuries.

Gardai confirmed they are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault which occurred in Bolton Woods, Callan, Co. Kilkenny on the 25th May 2020 at approximately 12:30am.
"A female, 40s, received minor injuries. No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing."
