Armed police reported in Villa Road, Lozells

West Midlands Police were called to Villa Road, in Lozells, on Tuesday evening, May 27.
Officers were filmed standing on the pavement with several people sat on the ground, near the junction of Hamstead Road.
There were several unmarked police cars and uniformed officers later joined the scene.
Villa Road was not sealed off but pedestrians were told not to come close while the incident was being dealt with.
West Midlands Police has been asked for a statement.
Bishop Desmond Jaddoo, who was in the area at the time, said he saw two people arrested.
He said: “I saw eight armed officers and they detained two people, one male and one female.
“There was a lot of heated comments from passers-by.
“Clearly it must have been a serious incident with the number of armed officers from four police cars.”
