Karnataka Schools re-open: After announcing dates for SSLC examinations in Karnataka to be held in June

Karnataka Schools re-open: After announcing dates for SSLC examinations in Karnataka to be held in June, the state education department has given a hint over the re-opening of the schools for the primary and high schools for the academic year 2020-21. The Karnataka state Primary Education minister S Suresh Kumar who held a review meeting with the authorities has said that the schools will be re-opened on July 1. However, the decision is not yet finalised as the official decision has to be taken after informing the chief minister.

The education minister has said that there will be no changes in the SSLC exams' schedule. "We have reviewed the situation following the Covid-19 pandemic and preparations are being made for the safety of the children," Suresh said.

Earlier there were suggestions from representation by several academicians and social activists seeking cancellation of the SSLC exams. However, the primary education minister met the Chief Minister and assured of safe conduction of examinations.
