Peter Andre responds to Katie Price split heartache by announcing baby plans

Peter Andre had some very bad timing this week as he dropped a baby bombshell just as his ex-wife Katie Price opened up about her heartache over their split.

Katie, 42, lifted the lid on her doomed first marriage in a new interview, admitting she should never have split from her first husband.

Shortly afterwards, Pete went public with plans to start trying for another baby with his second wife Emily.

In her interview with new! magazine, Katie explained the pair's relationship fractured after she was falsely accused of cheating with her riding instructor Andrew Gould.

She denied being unfaithful, but marked the end of her marriage.

Katie said: "We had the issues with Pete. I was accused of getting off with a guy and someone told him that a paper had pictures of it.

"I was like 'I haven't!' It's been 10 years and the so-called pictures have never come out. Why? Because it didn't happen.

"So that was the split. I would have stayed married to the first one. I believe in getting married and staying with them forever."

The couple were married from 2005 until 2009 had two children together Junior, 14, and Princess, 12.

Pete went on to remarry doctor Emily and have two more kids with her.

This week he announced they are making plans for baby number three.

Peter told The Sun : "We have discussions all the time. I said to Emily, ;If you want another one then we have to start trying now.

"I'm 47 and I don't want to be changing nappies at 50 because I've done it so many times over the last 15 years.

"This is my last year that I would be willing to try, because then I’m over the nanny stage for good."

While Pete found happiness after their split, Katie's love life has been a bumpy ride.

She married Alex Reid in Las Vegas shortly after finalising her divorce from Pete, but that relationship crumbled after a year.

Katie married her third husband Kieran Hayler in 2013, but they split in 2018 after he was accused of cheating on her.

It looked like Katie had found love once again when she started dating personal trainer Kris Boyson after her split from Kieran.

They got engaged last summer, but split after she was caught having a holiday romance with another toy boy, Charles Drury, behind his back last August.
