Journalist and PR officer Augustine Dalubuhle Moyo has died.
Moyo who was 38, died after a freak accident at Pennywise, in Eastlea.
According to reports by Zim Morning Post, Moyo was admitted at Baines Intercare and died as a result of the injuries which he suffered from the accident.
He is said to have been involved in a scuffle with a lady friend, who has been identified as Sandra.
Said a close source, who was at the scene.
Sandra is said to have attempted to drive off in a huff but a livid Augustine held on to the car tussling for the steering wheel.
Sandra is said to have lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a tree, crashing Augustine in the process.
He was rushed to Baines Intercare.
Reports say that Augustine Moyo suffered a broken pelvis and a case of internal bleeding.
Sandra is said to have also sustained injuries but was discharged the same night after treatment.
Augustine Moyo attained his education at UMAA Institute in Marondera and worked for the Sunday Mail, where he was promoted to Business editor of the weekly edition.
He then worked for Zimbabwe National Roads Authority (Zinara) as a corporate communications executive before he resigned on December 17 2019 to pursue other interests.
His body is expected to to be carried to his home in Winston Park, Marondera, today and his burial is set for Wednesday.
Augustine Moyo was survived by his wife Chantelle and three children.
