A 45-year-old Wheatland man was arrested this month for allegedly soliciting sex with a minor and dealing drugs.

On May 21, the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mickey Raper, who is accused of having a “graphic sexual social media and texting relationship” with a 14-year-old female.

Authorities said Raper believed he was communicating with a Canadian County minor, but instead was communicating with an undercover sheriff's deputy who used a fake social media profile.

Raper communicated with the undercover deputy for more than a year, authorities said. In March, the conversations became sexual in nature. Authorities said Raper started talking to the decoy about having sex. He also asked for nude photographs, authorities said.

Raper boasted about being a drug dealer, told the decoy about selling methamphetamine and sent photos of drugs he sold, according to authorities.

The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office said Raper wanted to have sex with the minor at her residence, and offered to bring methamphetamine, marijuana and alcohol.

“Raper was on course to destroy a young child’s life, and I’m extremely thankful we were able to arrest him before he lived out his sick twisted fantasy, and ruined a child’s life,” said Canadian County Sheriff Chris West.

Authorities said when Raper was arrested, he possessed marijuana, methamphetamine and alcohol.

He remains in custody at the Canadian County Detention Facility, authorities said.
