Gianluigi Donnarumma snubs Real Madrid for Barcelona

AC Milan’s world-class goalkeeper, Donnarumma, has decided to snub Real Madrid in favour for Barcelona if the opportunity ever arises in the near future.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are on the look for a second choice goalkeeper for this summer or either the next season as Alphonse Areola of Madrid, would be returning to his parent club this summer and Neto of Barca feels dejected after being handed just one start since signing his contract in the summer of 2019.

The Los Blancos are in deeper waters in the goalkeeper department when compared to the Blaugrana who could convince Neto to stay for another season by assuring the Brazilian more game time next season, however, Zinedine Zidane will have no option but to watch his second-choice keeper move to his parent club in the summer.

Florentino Perez has decided to shortlist AC Milan’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma despite still having Andriy Lunin and Zidane’s son Luca Zidane on contract. The president has reportedly prepared a plan to sign the 21-year-old goalkeeper from AC Milan in the next two years before his market value skyrockets due to his immense potential and capabilities.

However, Don Balon claims that the Italian goalkeeper has reportedly stated that if he would have to leave the San Siro for Real Madrid or Barcelona then he would opt to sign for the Catalan club if the opportunity ever comes his way in the next few years or so.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has been heavily linked to the Premier League as well as Chelsea continue to search for a goalkeeper as the relationship between Kepa Arzibalaga and the Blues board continues to deteriorate, according to GOAL.

The Italian giants are willing to part with their star player this summer instead as his contract is set to expire in the summer of 2021 and the club cannot afford to lose the player on a free transfer.

Since Gianluigi Donnarumma has already dropped his hint that he would prefer a move to Barcelona if the opportunity arises, Josep Maria Bartomeu could offer a figure close to 50 million this summer to sign the player or offer Neto in a swap deal to reduce the price or the Catalan club could wait until 2021 and sign the player on a free transfer.
