Nasrallah mocks Gantz: He has experience with disappointment in Lebanon - Middle East

Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah on Tuesday mocked Defense Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz.

Speaking in an interview marking 20 years since the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon and quoted by Walla! News, Nasrallah claimed, "The new Defense Minister today has a great experience of disappointment in southern Lebanon. The phrase 'Israelis are weaker than a spiderweb’ was coined then, with the Israeli military's downfall."

"Today,” continued Nasrallah, “we have capabilities that we did not have in 2006, in terms of brain power and plans."

He rejected a possible Israeli move to apply sovereignty as part of US President Donald Trump's “Deal of the Century”, saying that "Israel plotted on Jordan in 1982 and today it is plotting on the Deal of the Century." He warned Jordan that "the alternative homeland plan for Palestinians in Jordan still exists" and added that "the Israeli is only concerned with his own interests and his true plan is all of Palestine."

Outlining his theory on Israel, Nasrallah said that "the Zionist entity is a racist entity and is not a religious state, it is a racist state that operates using racism." Beyond that, he said he was convinced that Israel would not survive for long "because it is artificial and foreign in the region."

He added that "Israel of 2,000 years ago is not the same Israel of after the year 2000 and everyone knows it. We are convinced that the racist Israeli entity will disappear."

Nasrallah also said that "America's direct presence in the region is proof of its allies' weakness and is another sign of the strength of the axis of resistance. Palestine is a strategic force for the axis of resistance, the level of support for resistance among Palestinians is highest than it was in the past."

"Israel also admits that the resistance has doubled its power. Israel knows that the bombing in Lebanon will not go unanswered, and that is one of the rules of the game," the Hezbollah leader continued.
