Wolves given green light for Loader deal

Reading are set to allow Danny Loader to leave the club at the end of the season less than a year after pulling the plug on his move to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 19-year-old was extensively linked with a move to Wolves last summer and it is understood he had agreed term, before the Royals made a U-turn.

Loader is believed to have travelled to Compton on deadline day in August, before the deal collapsed at the last minute.

Speaking shortly after the window, Loader revealed a top-flight club had been interested in signing him: "Everyone knows a Premier League club tried to sign me in the transfer window, but it wasn't to be."

Barcelona chief 'furious' over Traore to Liverpool claims

Barcelona are reportedly furious that Liverpool want to sign Adama Traore from Wolves

Speculation over Traore's future is rife, with claims a host of Europe's top clubs want to prise him away from Molineux after a terrific season.

The Spanish winger has been in superb form, scoring six goals and adding 12 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.

The 24-year-old joined Wolves from Middlesbrough in 2018 and his development under Nuno Espirito Santo has been breathtaking.

Graham gives his honest opinion on Nuno

Jordan Graham admires Nuno Espirito Santo as a football manager and coach, but has explained why his time at Molineux under the Portuguese boss didn’t work out.

Graham was released by Wolves last week having not played in the old gold first team since 2017 and having endured a number of unsuccessful loan spells in that time.

The former Aston Villa academy prospect had spent the second half of the current campaign with Gillingham, before his time at Molineux was confirmed to be over, as expected.

Despite his lack of a look-in in recent seasons, Graham bears no ill feelings towards Nuno - but he admits the pair didn’t see eye to eye when it came to his best position.

Proof of Nuno’s genius

New analysis has revealed that Wolves have spent more time in play since the start of the 2018/19 season than every other team in the Premier League besides three.

A study conducted by Compare.bet using data provided by Opta, shows that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have spent an average of 57 minutes and 16 seconds in play per Premier League match over the 2018/19 and 2019/20 campaigns.

This ranks them ahead of Leicester City (54 minutes and 46 seconds), Manchester United (55 minutes and 25 seconds), Arsenal (56 minutes and 10 seconds) and Tottenham Hotspur (57 minutes and five seconds) and behind only Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, who top the rankings at 60 minutes 10 seconds of ‘in play’ time per game.

Despite being ranked only third in the overall standings, Liverpool have charted the longest Premier League match since the start of the 2018/19 season in terms of ‘in play’ time, with their game against Sheffield United in January clocking a massive 69 minutes and 23 seconds of in play action.

Newcastle have Kessie bid 'rejected'

Newcastle United have had a bid for long-time Wolves target Franck Kessie rejected, according to reports in Italy.

The midfielder has been linked to Wolves in each of the last two transfer windows with AC Milan reportedly ready to sell if the right offer comes in.

It is believed that a fee of between £22m and £26m would be enough to sign the 23-year-old.

According to Tuttomercato, Newcastle launched a bid that would have seen Kessie join the club initially on loan. The offer was believed to have a loan fee of £5m, before paying the remaining £25m to make it a permanent switch.
