Management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, has given those that have corpses in its morgue to collect them within two weeks, or the corpses be given mass burial.

LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Management disclosed this in a public service announcement, which was sent to our correspondent by the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Ayodele Adeyemo, on Tuesday.

It partly read, “The management of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, hereby call on the members of the public especially those who have corpses in the mortuary unit of the hospital to come and remove them within the next two weeks of this announcement.

“This is to ensure decongestion of hospital morgue which is now filled to the brim with no room for fresh bodies. We, therefore, appeal that relatives, who have corpses in the mortuary unit LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo, should come and remove them.

“Please it should be noted that the congestion of the morgue is a routine exercise, has nothing to do with the current pandemic COVID-19.  All bodies not collected within two weeks of this announcement may be packaged for mass burial.”
