Elderly man dies of covid-19

SRINAGAR, May 26: A 90 year old man from Kulgam died of Covid -19 today.
With this death toll due to coronavirus reached 24 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Reports said the deceased from Kahloora village of Kulgam district was on Monday referred to SKIMS from GMC Anantnag, where the nonagenarian, breathed his last on this morning.
According to officials at SKIMS, the patient was suffering from pneumonia with major complaints of fever and breathlessness.
The sample of the deceased patient was taken immediately after his admission in SKIMS which tested positive on the same evening.
Subsequently, the patient was shifted to the isolation ward, where he died.
As of now Srinagar district has recorded the highest number of deaths due to coronavirus, where six persons have fell victim to the disease, followed by Anantnag, Baramulla and Kulgam districts with four deaths each , while Budgam and Jammu have recorded two deaths each district and one death each was reported from Bandipora and Udhampur.
