Earlier this month, the world’s biggest K-pop festival KCON announced that it would go online for KCON:TACT 2020 Summer. Now, the 24-hour, weeklong virtual event series announced a handful of major acts looking to connect with global fans.

The KCON:TACT 2020 Summer lineup leads with six boy bands in Monsta X, The Boyz, Pentagon, AB6IX, Golden Child and TOO, as well as girl groups LOONA, GFriend, IZ*ONE and Nature. Notably, Monsta X’s summer arena tour and AB6IX’s first U.S. tour were both postponed due to coronavirus concerns making this a sweet moment for the fans who were looking forward to seeing the groups earlier this year.

While usual KCON festivals gave fans face-to-face contact with artists and performances, KCON:TACT is looking to create a different kind of intimate experience.

The festival also shared additional information about access fans will get which includes hours of concert footage, daily meet and greets and behind-the-scenes footage. As well, some artists will take part in the "Real Idol 24hr" series where fans can join their favorite acts for an entire day.

KCON:TACT 2020 Summer takes place from June 20-26 and is said to include around 30 artists and influencers. The fest will stream on the Mnet K-Pop YouTube channel.

Stay tuned for more details about and artists joining KCON:TACT 2020 Summer coming soon. In the meantime check out Monsta X’s just-released “Fantasia” single and music video that follows up All About Luv, the band’s first Top 5 album in America earlier this year that solidified their place in U.S. K-pop chart history:
