VIDEO: Spanish referees train ahead of La Liga restart
by BeSoccerSpanish match officials train in Madrid ahead of LaLiga’s return in June.
The La Liga and Segunda seasons are set to resume in June after being suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Although most fans remember that the players need time to train and get back to full fitness, many forget about the match officials. A referee can easily cover 10km a game and must be fit in order to be in the best position possible when it comes to making a decision.
Therefore, the 20 La Liga referees and the 22 Segunda ones have been training at the Spanish FA HQ in Las Rozas (Madrid) as they get set for the final part of the season. Take a closer look in the video above!
