C’garh notifies 95 containment zones

Amid a spike in Covid-19 positive cases in Chhattisgarh, the Family and Health Welfare Department has notified 95 containment zones and issued a new list of Red, Orange and Green zones across the state.

The zones have been declared in line with the guidelines and protocol of the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry based on various factors including the doubling rate of positive cases.

The Red zone blocks are Dondhilohara (Balod), Korba (Korba) Mungeli (Mungeli), Raigarh Urban (Raigarh), Churiya (Rajnandgaon), Ambikapur (Surguja), Kota, Takhatpur, Bilaspur Urban, Masturi and Bilha (Bilaspur),  Pandariya (Kawardha) and Balodabazar (Baoldabazar-Bhatapara).

The Orange blocks are Balod, Dondhi, Gunderdehi (Balod), Balauda, Bahmnidih, Navagarh and Sakti (Janjgir-Champa), Bhilaighar, Simga, Palari, Kasdol (Balodabazar-Bhatapara), Bakawand and Bastanar (Bastar), Saja and Navagarh (Bemetara), Geedham (Dantewada), Gujra, Kurud, Nagari, Dhamari Urban (Dhamtari), Patan and Nikum (Durg), Lormi (Mungeli), Lailunga (Raigarh), Mohla and Ghumka (Rajnandgaon), Mainpat (Surguja), Durgukondal and Kanker (Kanker), Gariaband (Gariaband), Khadgavan (Koriya), Marwahi (Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi), Balrampur, Rajpur, Kusmi, Shankargarh, Ramanujganj and Wadrafnagar (Balrampur).

All other blocks not named here fall in Green zone. A few blocks are in Orange zone as the testing of coronavirus is not as per the required samples.
