Bhubaneswar: Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal released a special cover on Covid-19 and a pack of 10 picture post cards on great personalities of Odisha here on Tuesday. Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle Subash Chandra Barmma and Secretary to Governor PK Meherda were present.
DAV P’put distributes foods to tribals
Bhubaneswar: The DAV Public School, Pokhariput distributed food packets containing grocery, dry food and vegetables, masks and sanitisers among the needy tribal people in the Chandaka area on Monday. This philanthropic act was initiated by the Principal Dr Sujata and supervised by Sitikantha Pati. Among others, Subhranshu Mohan Dash, Swagatika Das, Patrapuspa Mohanty, Manaswini Mohanty, Sakti Prasanna Mohanty, Bijay Kumar Panda, Manoj Kumar Nahak, Rajendra Kumar Sahu, Deepak Ranjan Behera and Narottam Sarangi coordinated.
BeMC, HDFC ink pact for project mgmt system
Brahmapur: A MoU was signed between the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) and the HDFC Bank for the development of a Government project management system for BeMC here. The bank would completely digitalise the construction work from estimate preparation to payment. All works would be monitored through specially designed applications, which will include real time monitoring through GPS photographs and availability of data online. The system would be developed within a month from the trial day of June 1. The HDFC bank would bear the entire cost.
