Kolar Police nab three for stealing electronic goods worth Rs 1.5 lakh
by Staff ReporterKolar police have nabbed three miscreants who targeted two shops at Gurukripa complex and escaped with electronic goods worth Rs 1.5 lakh on May 21.
The nabbed accused were identified as Deepak, Ghanshyam and Raja. The three are habitual criminals and have been booked for several crimes in the past.Police said that more burglaries would be revealed in the investigation and recoveries are likely to be made in the further investigation.
In the burglary two laptops and electronic goods worth Rs 1.8 lakh were stolen from a two shops at Gurukripa Tower owned by Swapnil Sahu and Yogesh Gupta. .Sahu lodged complaint after he was informed that gate of his shop was broken and on the receipt of the information he went to check and found that goods have been burgled. Later he also found that his neighboring shop owned by Yogesh Gupta was also targeted.In the burglary from Sahu’s shop induction cooktop, hair doing machines and Rs 2900 cash were burgled and from Gupta’s shop two laptops and Rs 10000 cash were burgled.
The shop was not having any CCTV camera but the nearby shops have cameras installed which would be investigated in the further investigation.Based on the complaint the police registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and started further investigation.
