11 containment zones turns green

As eleven Covid -19 containment zones have turned green in Delhi, the national Capital still has 90 ‘active’ containment zones according to the Delhi Government. While 11 zones have been excluded of total Red Zones but corona cases have yet to start reducing  New cases are being reported from new locations as on Tuesday 412 corona  positive patients were identified during past 24 hours.

Delhi has lost 288 lives till date, due to corona virus however as per state health bulletin, 48 percent of total corona patients have recovered. With the addition of new Covid -19 patients, Delhi is closer to 15000 mark. High percentage of recovery rate has warmed the cockles with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressing satisfaction ..

The active cases reported in Delhi are 7223, only 2,092 cases are being treated at government and private hospitals. 591 cases are treated in Lok Nayak Hospital and 121 in Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital , 522 in AIIMS ( Delhi and Jhajjar)hospital while 23 patients are on the ventilator and 185 in ICU.

Around 3770 patients are in home isolation having mild symptoms. Delhi government has conducted 178579 cumulative testing of novel corona virus.

May 31 is approaching while cases and containment zones have increased in Delhi hence the Capital is in tight grip of the coronavirus spread.

Interestingly, with the efforts at community level and by the health officials, civic agencies and state administration, densely populated regions have managed to control corona spread.

According to Delhi Government, Sangam Vihar and Deoli Extension in Saket, Khirki extension and Chirag Delhi’s Jain Mohalla and the police colony in north district’s Model Town police colony are few locations where people followed strict guidelines to curtail the spread. Health workers and government officials were constantly counseling patients and the people to adhere to the guidelines to stave off the deadly virus.
