Damage to crops by wild boars, monkeys, blue bulls to be compensated: HoFF

Farmers whose crops and vegetables are damaged or destroyed or consumed by wild boars, monkeys and blue bulls will be given compensation.

Stating this today on phone head of the forest force (HoFF) cum principal chief conservator of forest (PCCF)

Jharkhand Shashi Nandkeolyar said, “I have been informed that wild boars, monkeys and blue bulls are causing damages and destructions of crops of farmers. It is too hard a time in coronavirus.

 Farmers need not worry.”

“Farmers should get their losses by these animals assessed and estimated by government officials and our divisional forest officer will then act upon it accordingly,” reiterated the HoFF.

Nandkeolyar said, “I tell you 50 lakhs of rupees has been given as compensation here in Palamu alone for such damages. I understand it is not only the jumbos that invade crops. These wild boars, monkeys and blue bulls too are a great nuisance.”
