Spoilers: Callum upset in EastEnders as Sharon reveals a shock truth about Ben

Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway (Tony Clay) has found himself torn between love and duty in EastEnders, and with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) once again involved in dodgy dealings, he doesn’t quite know what to do — and a conversation with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) leaves him all the more concerned.

Callum has long made clear his intention to join the police, and — in spite of a number of obstacles having almost prevented him from doing so — he passed the assessment and has started making headway in the career of his choice.

However, Ben’s penchant for dodgy dealings has put him in a difficult position time and again — and it seemingly does so again, as the Mitchell lad finds himself entangled up in a dangerous operation with dad Phil (Steve McFadden) and villainous Danny (Paul Usher).

Phil tells Ben he’s no longer part of the dodgy deal, the young man spots a van following Danny and his dad as they depart for the job, which leaves him suspicious.

Worried about what the presence of said van might mean, Ben takes Gray’s (Toby-Alexander Smith) car from the Arches, and — after changing the number plate — he rushes to the warehouse where the job is due to take place.

However, said job is already underway, and the situation soon spirals out of control — and Ben ends up having a gun pointed at him as he makes an alarming discovery.

What happens next has yet to be revealed, but — during the following episode — Callum confides in Sharon about the conflict that comes with dating a Mitchell.

Knowing full well of the turmoil that comes with such a thing, Sharon tells the young lad to turn a blind eye to their dodgy dealings — something which leaves Callum frustrated.

What will he do?
