Make Everyone Jealous With This Nissan Skyline GT-R Wagon

Your dream R34 has arrived.

While the R32 and R33 are both fair game, the Nissan Skyline R34, the predecessor to today's Nissan GT-R, still can't be legally imported to the US. Of course, that will change come 2024 when the 25-year import ban expires. But if you can't wait that long, there's a certain one-off R34 you can have parked in your garage right now.

This 1995 R34 is very appropriately called the "Speed Wagon" and it's up for sale on Vistec R Imports, based right here in the US. The price? Try $85,000, but someone out there might think it's worth every penny. The wagon conversion was done by Daijiro Inada and Option 2 Magazine. It features an extended roof that came directly from Nissan EXA which allows for greater cargo space and a one-of-a-kind look.

Fortunately, nothing has been changed under the hood so you'll still be getting the 2.6-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six good for 276 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Power is directed to all four wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. Performance is unaffected by the roof extension as the seller claims the Speed Wagon lapped Japan's Tsukuba Circuit in only 1:04.452 back in 1996. The seller lists a quarter-mile time of 11.89 seconds and a top speed of 189 mph.

Aside from the roof, additional modifications include an HKS turbine and intercooler, an 11-point roll bar, unique front bumper spoiler, side skirts, external fender, and 19-inch racing wheels.

Inside there's a Nardi steering wheel, Nismo 199 mph speedometer, four Recaro bucket seats, and Kenwood amplifier speakers and subwoofer.

There's no doubt someone will be more than willing to pony up the requested $85k to own this, so if you're seriously interested it's in your best interest to act fast. Otherwise, you'll have to wait another few years until you can legally import a regular coupe R34.
