DMX Questions Lloyd Banks' Lyricism, Lloyd Banks Responds

DMX downright dismissed Lloyd Banks' lyricism during a conversation with Fat Man Scoop on Instagram Live. X questioned why Scoop placed Banks on his list of all-time lyricists. "Lloyd Banks? Lyrical?" he asked. "Quote four bars. Impress me with four bars of his. It shouldn't be hard." When Scoop didn't have an immediate four bars ready to recite, DMX felt vindicated. 

That doesn't mean the social media sphere agreed with X. Many called him out for his opinion, prompting Lloyd Banks to respond to the remarks. He tweeted early Monday morning in response to a fan perplexed by DMX's opinion, "I have no clue... god bless him." Banks' tweet later in the day could shine a light on the snub from X as he wrote: "So because I didn’t come to the studio to work when HE reached out..I’m not that good?"
