Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins viewers 'gutted' as Joey Essex quits

by

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins fans are ‘gutted’ for Joey Essex after he crashed out of the competition.

The Only Way Is Essex star had made it to the final six of the intense training scheme, but failed to adapt when under interrogation.

Instead of drip-feeding information to his captors to protect his team, Joey instead stuck to his cover story, despite not really knowing it that well, to be honest.

It all came crashing down after a particularly brutal showdown with an interrogator, seeing Joey walk out, never to return.

And viewers at home were well and truly gutted for him – knowing that he had come such a long way.

‘Fair play to Joey, he did amazing,’ one fan wrote. ‘Shame he couldn’t keep it together when it mattered.’

Another added: ‘Joey [did] bloody well. I didn’t have a clue what was going on either.’

‘Gutted for Helen [Skelton] and Joey,’ someone else said. ‘Must be so hard knowing what’s the right to do during the interrogation.’

But Joey seems to know that he did a good job, at least.

‘I’ve never let anyone down,’ he told the cameras. ‘They know I’m a good person.’

Ultimately, Paralympian Lauren Steadman and Rudimental DJ Locksmith ended up winning the series, becoming the only two celebs to pass the course.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins airs on Channel 4.
