Nearly half of English-speakers in Israel support the application of Israeli sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria, according to a poll published by i24NEWS Monday.

According to the poll, over 47% of English-speakers support the plan to apply sovereignty, compared to 31% who oppose the move. 27.7% responded said they "don't know."

The poll found an overwhelming majority of 90% of French-speaking Israelis support the application of sovereignty, while only 6% oppose the move.

The survey was conducted by Shlomo Filber and Tzuriel Sharon through Direct Polls Ltd.

Earlier Monday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Israel has a "historic opportunity" to apply sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.

"There's an historic opportunity we haven't had since 1948 to apply sovereignty in an agreed manner, as a sovereign political measure by Israel in Judea and Samaria. It is an opportunity that cannot be missed," Netanyahu said.
