Highest temperature of 46.1 degree C was recorded in Kaldurki village of Bodhan district and the lowest of 38.1 degree C in Palda village in Nizamabad mandal and 38.4 in Lakshmapur in Makloor mandal.

Heatwaves gripping the erstwhile Nizamabad district persisted with more intensity on Monday as temperatures shot up by one or two degrees, disrupting life in Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Bhanswada
and Bodhan districts. Maximum temperatures and
overall heat index in many cities were more than human tolerance levels.
Pata Rajampet of Kamareddy district continued to be the hottest place in the old Nizamabad district with 45.6. The highest ever maximum temperature of the Armor town 45.9, which is closer to Adilabad in the north, is 50 degrees C that was recorded in 1919.
Maximum temperature of Morthad and Bheemgal increased to 43.4 degrees C. 46 degrees C was recorded in Balkonda, SRSP project area, Ranjal, Yedapalle, sirikoda, Mendora, Jakranpalli and Chadoor.
Temperature in Chinna Mavandi village, Bodhan mandal, Nizamabad district, rose from Saturday's 41
degrees to 45.7 degrees C which was 4 degrees more than its normal in May. Nizamabad's highest ever maximum temperature was recorded in 2005, which was 48.5 degrees C.
Roads wore a deserted look throughout the day as it was too hot to brave into the open. The Telangana Planning Development Society Officer B Venumadhav said it will remain mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the country for the next 24 hours.
