What is Mad Men all about; plot of the TV show:
Mad Men’s story is set in the 1960s. The first season of the drama series explores the lives of the employees of an advertising firm of New York called Sterling Cooper. A few episodes later it goes on to explore the professional and personal lives of the employees of Sterling Cooper. It covers personal details of the lives of these central characters and how they deal with their marriage, divorce, changes in jobs, etc. during that decade.
The show focuses on a lot of lead characters in the series, but to most of us Don Draper outperforms others to make the series gripping and keeping them on the edge of their seats. Don, an intriguing character, happens to be the creative director of Sterling Copper who is a fierce competitor and tries his best to hold on to his position. It is interesting to watch him because he never gives a moment of peace to his adversaries and always manages to get the better off them.

Know why mad men might not return with season 8:
The last episode of the series was aired on May 17, 2015. As per most fans, the story ended on a satisfactory note as well. In an interaction with a leading entertainment portal the show’s creator Matthew Weiner opened up about the decision of ending Mad Men.
He said: ‘I can’t think this happened, and I’m so grateful we got the opportunity to do it, and we were allowed to complete it how and when we required to. I required it to feel that there were a dream and a period for the entire thing. I’m appreciative to the point that individuals delighted in it and appeared to appreciate it unequivocally as it was expected. You can’t get a 100 percent endorsement rating, or you’ve accomplished something idiotic.’
However that said, it’s tough to bid farewell to a show like Mad Men which we all can agree is one of its kind. At this point while it looks like it is unlikely to return with a season 8, fans can cling on to hopes of it appearing on their screens as a movie or a spin off in the future.
