by Martin Fricker, https://www.facebook.com/dailymirror/A pensioner unable to hold his wife’s hand as she died from Covid-19 has called on Boris Johnson to quit over the Dominic Cummings scandal.
Grieving John Wilson, 70, sat alone at home as his wife of 48 years, retired science teacher Pauline, passed away in hospital.
She was cremated with no family present and John still waits for permission to scatter her ashes.
John, of Whitchurch, Bucks, reacted with fury to the Prime Minister’s public backing for Mr Cummings.
His letter to his Tory MP, Greg Smith, has gone viral.

In it he told how “under severe emotional distress I, like the vast majority of the population, have complied with your government’s instructions in order to protect my fellow citizens.”
The retired computing engineer wept as he told ow he felt betrayed.
He called Mr Cummings “dishonourable” and said the PM made a “huge mistake” standing by him.
He added: “Even if he has not broken the law, Johnson should get rid of him.
“If I panicked and took my wife and child to the other end of the country, when I came back I would go to the Prime Minister and say, ‘I set an extraordinarily bad example’ and I would offer my resignation.
“The Prime Minister has taken the wrong decision not to get rid of Cummings.
“Somebody taking that decision loses the confidence of the country. When the Prime Minister loses [that], you get rid of him.”
