Buzz.ie is teaming up with K-FEST for a host of livestream music events
by Sophie CollinsWith many concerts, festivals, and events alike cancelled as a result of the coronavirus outbreak in Ireland, Buzz.ie is teaming up with K-FEST to bring you a series of Livestream events with Irish artists.
The dynamic arts festival with an emphasis on emerging artists normally uses unoccupied spaces in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, transforming vacant retail outlets, deserted buildings, and even domestic homes into curated bespoke pop-up galleries and venues over the June Bank Holiday weekend.
This year, however, the music festival is moving online to present the Band Together series, the first of which will be going live on Sunday, May 31, at 7.30 pm on The K-FEST Facebook and Youtube Channel, and also with a Watch Party on the Buzz.ie Facebook.
The first episode of Band Together will feature Roisin Donald, a 20-year-old multi-instrumentalist from Derry who goes by ROE.
ROE has been blazing a trail for young female indie artists across Ireland, UK, Europe, and beyond with her unique brand of self-styled Dark Indie-Pop.
She has previously showcased her live prowess at some of the biggest Music Festivals around the world including Reeperbahn, SXSW, Primavera, and the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury.
ROE is also won the 2018 Northern Ireland Music Prize for "Best Emerging Artist" and was the recipient of the PRS Foundation Momentum fund for 2020.
She has spent the better part of the year on tour performing alongside the likes of Snow Patrol, Two Door Cinema Club, Kodaline, Tom Odell and Robbie Williams.
