In our latest instalment of the Lockdown League brought to you by Soccer Laduma, Reyaad Pieterse and HyperSocial, Tshidiso Letsholonyane, brother of Reneilwe Letsholonyane, who is currently a development coach at the Kaizer Chiefs academy, took on Bidvest Wits midfielder, Thabang Monare in this gripping fixture.
The first shouts of “Come on” were screamed before kick-off, showing the significance of this eagerly awaited tie. PSG took an early lead through French wonderkid, Kylian Mbappe. Liverpool leveled the game after 22 minutes. Monare was cheeky in his celebration once the French giants took the lead once more through Mbappe’s second goal, but no sooner had he celebrated, when his joy was short-lived as the Reds equalised again through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Sadio Mane then came up trumps to make it 3-2 at Anfield. Although Letsholonyane said, “Let’s keep it tight” in defence, PSG leveled the game once again through Marco Verrati, to end the half at 3-3.

In the second half Roberto Firimino made an instant impact from the bench, as the Reds went 4-3 up, much to the delight of the Amakhosi academy coach. With Africa Day is upon us, Senegalese forward, Sadio Mane bagged his hattrick to put the game well beyond doubt, denying his opponent any real route back into the game, despite Monare questioning his star-studded backline.
In an enthralling and frantic Lockdown encounter, the men in Red came out on top, as the final score read, 6-3 to the Premier League giants in a match that was brilliant from start to finish.
