Azealia Banks Calls Nicki Minaj a “P@!sy Ass Bitch,” Says She’s Jealous of Cardi B
by Trent FitzgeraldAzealia Banks has reignited her off-and-on beef with Nicki Minaj once again on social media today.
On Monday (May 25), the Harlem rapper jumped on her Instagram story and slammed Nicki for collaborating with Doja Cat on the “Say So (Remix).” Doja recently came under fire for her involvement in chat rooms deemed to be racist. She's since addressed the accusations and denies she was ever involved in any racist conversations.
"Another thing that I find fucking funny, is Nicki...for all the fucking mouth you have for Cardi B for talking shit about black women, and now you quiet because you got your little number one with this White bitch," Azealia said, referring to Doja as the “White bitch.”
"You a pussy ass bitch,” she continued. “Fuck outta here. You mad pussy. You wild pussy for that. You shoulda got right on that Queen Radio and you put that bitch in the ground where she belongs. Put that bitch down in the fucking South African emerald mine where the fuck that White bitch belongs."
During her rant, Banks also dragged Cardi B into the mix, stating that Nicki is jealous of the Bronx rapper. “Now I'm looking back at it, you were just jealous of Cardi,” Azealia shared. “You just jealous ‘cause she's got more swag than you. You made a whole radio show about how Cardi B is bad for black women."
Azealia went on to call Cardi "trash," claiming that she doesn't own her publishing. The rapper then suggested that Nicki go on her Queen Radio program and "tear Doja's head right the fuck off" or else she is "selling out."
Elsewhere on her IG story, Banks alleges that she had an affair with comedian Dave Chappelle and also slammed fellow Harlem rapper Dave East for trying to charge her $25,000 for a feature on her "Pyrex Princess (Remix)."
In short, Azealia Banks was very busy on her IG story today.

Azealia Banks
Azealia Banks has been the center of plenty of controversy throughout her career, with more than enough of it playing out on social media. In one of her more unacceptable moments, Azealia got into a social media beef with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik in May of 2016. The rapper thought Zayn copied the direction of her music video for her song "Yung Rapunxul" for his video for "Like I Would."
“Damn Zayn be mood boarding the shit out of me… I'm not mad about this though. Zayn is a cutie pie," she wrote on Twitter alongside a picture collage of images taken from both their videos. After Zayn responded in a tweet with, "My @'s too good for you," Banks began to make racist and homophobic comments about Zayn, who comes from a Pakistani background. The situation caused an uproar online, and lead to Azealia getting her Twitter account disabled. She returned eventually, but it isn't clear when, as she's taken multiple breaks from social media.
Lil Reese
The coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone at this point, and sometimes that leads to people sharing tasteless and problematic views. Lil Reese went on Twitter on March 11, and dropped a racist tweet stating, "Chinese people nasty asl man got the whole [world] fuck up." Then, later on, Reese revealed on his Instagram Stories that his Twitter account was suspended. The rapper looks to have been suspended for at least 12 hours, and soon after got his account back. The backlash for Reese's tweet was quick and widespread.
Talib Kweli
With a reputation as an outspoken and socially aware artist, Talib Kweli won't back down from a war of words with anyone. After a back-and-forth with a Texas lawyer on Twitter in 2017, Talib was suspended for posting the lawyer's address on his account. "The lawyer @realjvld was suspended from twitter for calling ppl faggot nigger and threaten to murder children w an AR. I posted his business address & #. @twitter is emailing me threatening to suspend me for doing so. Should they? @jack @twittersupport weigh in," he tweeted. The rapper posted the address after seeing the lawyer's use of racist language among other concerning tweets. Talib's Twitter account was gone for about two days then he made his return.
Freddie Gibbs
Anyone who follows Freddie Gibbs on social media knows that his posts can be quite the wild ride. In particular, his Instagram Stories tend to contain a lot of controversial content, from nudity, videos of rampant drug use in the street, problematic jokes and more. On March 19, Instagram decided they had enough, getting Freddie's account deleted due to Community Guidelines violations. According to the rapper, he got flagged for a weeks-old post of an armless and legless man. He shared the news with his followers on IG Live the same day and talked about the situation. Freddie directed his fans to Snapchat before his page officially got deleted at 3 a.m. on March 20. Instagram reinstated his page by March 21, and Gibbs is back to bringing chaos to the internet.
Tory Lanez
As one of the few artists who actually benefitted from a social media suspension, Tory Lanez is a crafty dude. Using Instagram Live as a talent show and twerk showcase, Tory's self-made Quarantine Radio show was one of the biggest shows online during the coronavirus pandemic. In March, the Toronto rapper broke the record for most Instagram Live viewers with 310,000 views in one session—that number was eclipsed by 6ix9ine with 2 million views on March 8. Due to the graphic nature of Tory's IG Live sessions, which included twerking and lewd acts, his Live capabilities were suspended on April 7.
As a result of this ban, he created a Quarantine Radio Instagram account immediately, starting a new show later that day and breaking the 100,000-view mark. The powers that be at Instagram then gave back Tory his original Instagram Live just two days later after Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri spoke on the suspension and made it clear there were no hard feelings. Now, Tory's Quarantine Radio is an ongoing success, proving Tory is one of the biggest success stories in the wave of Instagram Live shows.
Boosie Badazz
To be fair, the combo of Boosie BadAzz and social media has gotten him in hot water many times before. So facing backlash for his posts on Twitter and Instagram is nothing new. In this case, Boosie's comments about former Miami Heat basketball player Dwyane Wade's daughter, Zaya, and her sexuality got the rapper in hot water. In March, Boosie, who was locked down in the crib like everyone else due to the COVID-19 pandemic, used his IG Live to invite women to strip and do other sexual acts for money. He got away with this for weeks, even after he streamed two women committing a sexual act.
Then Instagram caught wind and reached out to him around the end of the month. An Instagram rep personally told the rhymer to stop with the broadcasts featuring nude women and sexual acts or they would delete his page. Unsurprisingly, Boosie was defiant ("I ain't stopping shit... because we on Quarantine") and also planned to move the show off Instagram. He has since cleaned up his act on IG.
Tyler, The Creator
Earlier in his career, Tyler, The Creator is known for his off-the-cuff comments both on and offline. In July of 2019, he landed in some hot water for sexual tweets he made about pop star Selena Gomez in 2011, around the time the singer was turning 18. "@selenagomez Wanna Lick My Gooch," the rapper tweeted. Tyler revealed via a post to his Instagram Stories that he got his Twitter locked and shared a screenshot of the official notice. Along with the screenshot, he wrote "I was out of my mind." The tweets from Tyler were initially unearthed by Selena's fans on July 11, 2019. Tyler was back to tweeting on July 15, leaving him with a just a few days under suspension.
50 Cent
Twitter was a very crazy place years ago, when you might see just about anything when you log in. 50 Cent knew this, and tended to tweet whatever he wanted. In 2010, Fif posted a photo of a woman with a hamburger in between her butt cheeks, and another woman with a sex toy. Twitter reacted with the quickness by suspending his Twitpic account, which was the platform that users uploaded photos on back then. Fif responded with some ire, tweeting, "Twitpic just suspended my account damn. They got 30mns to get it back or I’ma go haywire." In about a day or two, Fif's Twitpic account was back online, and he apologized for how he was acting. Everyone wins.
