The Penticton Farmers' Market could open for the season as early as this weekend.

Market manager Katherine Harris says they are awaiting final permits from the City of Penticton before making the official announcement, which is expected to be in the next day or two.

Farmers' markets in B.C. recently launched an online platform for customers to order from vendors as uncertainty over COVID-19 restrictions delayed the opening of this year’s physical market.

The market is also seeking volunteers to help operate under COVID-19 social distancing protocols.

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Cheryl at 250-499-2555.
