Dubai to Allow Free Movement, Business Activity from Wednesday

Dubai will begin allowing free movement and business activity to restart from Wednesday, Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said on Monday.

Starting from Wednesday there will be no restrictions on movement or business operations between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm, the Dubai Media office said in a press release.

The United Arab Emirates Government announced that the number of COVID-19 tests has broken the two million mark, reaching 2,044,493 screenings as part of the national plan to intensify coronavirus detection.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention detected 822 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases in the UAE to 30,307, said official government spokesperson, Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi.

She announced three deaths due to COVID-19 complications, taking the total number of deaths to 248.

She also noted an additional 601 individuals have fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 15,657.
