Imo: PDP assistance financial secretary resigns - The Nation Nigeria

The state Assistant Financial Secretary, of the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Maximian Okedu, on Monday resigned his position from the party.

Okedu in his resignation letter in Owerri, said that his reason was “personal coupled with pressures from friends and family members.”

This is coming days after the state Publicity Secretary of the ,PDP, Damian Opara, also resigned his position as well as the state chairman of the party, Charles Ezekwem.

Sources told the Nation that the multiple resignations of the state officers is creating panic in the members of the ,PDP, in the state.

The source from the party said: “We don’t know what is happening and why our members of our state executives are resigning. It was our state chairman, followed by the state publicity secretary and now the assistant Financial Secretary, have resigned.”
