Rare Albino Echidna Caught on Camera in Australia

Echidnas, sometimes known as spiny anteaters, are monotremes, egg-laying mammals just like the platypus who live in Australia and New Guinea.

A rare albino echidna has been captured on video in Beaumont, New South Wales, Australia. The funny animal seems to be looking for ants or worms in the soft soil, finally turning from the camera and going away.

As these tiny mammals are normally covered in dark spines, albino echidnas with pink eyes and white spines are very rarely seen by people.
