Woman targeted in lockdown bag snatch as she looks in boot of car

She had her bag swiped off her shoulder as she looked in the boot of her car

Police are appealing for information after a woman had her bag snatched from her shoulder during the Covid-19 lockdown.

A mugger targeted the woman as she looked in the boot of her car in Mackadown Lane, Birmingham.

Her bag was grabbed off her shoulder and swiped before the thief fled the scene.

It took place at 6.50pm on Tuesday, April 21.

Now, a month on, police have issued a CCTV appeal.

They wish to speak to a man after the incident.

The appeal, shared on Bank Holiday Monday (May 25), read: "APPEAL | Do you know who this is?

"We want to speak to him after a woman’s bag was grabbed from her shoulder as she looked in the boot of her car in Mackadown Lane, Birmingham at 6.50pm on Tuesday 21 April.

"Contact us via Live Chat quoting crime number 20BE/94722C/20."
