Biker, 37, in hospital after smash on rural Perthshire road

A 37-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after a motorbike crash in rural Perthshire.

The accident happened on the A85 near St Fillans on Monday afternoon. Police Scotland said the biker was taken to hospital in Glasgow, but she is not thought to have been seriously injured.

The road was partly closed for about an hour.

A force spokesman said: “Police were called around 2.20pm to a report of a road crash involving a motorbike on the A85 at Dalkenneth.

“A 37-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, however we have no reports of serious injury.”
