Mike Tyson confirmed for AEW Dynamite after confronting Jake 'The Snake' Roberts
by Alistair McGeorgeIt seems “Iron” Mike Tyson is sticking around in All Elite Wrestling.
The Baddest Man On The Planet made waves over the weekend at the company’s huge Double or Nothing show as he was on hand to present the TNT Championship belt to the winner of Cody Rhodes vs Lance Archer.
However, he got caught up in the action when WWE Hall of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts threatened to interrupt the title bout.
Tyson – who was caught yawning at ringside during the high profile match – sent him packing with his tail between his legs as he took off his shirt and hurled abuse at the living legend.
Now there looks sure to be some fallout as the boxing icon is confirmed for this week’s episode of Dynamite.
Revealing the exciting news, AEW wrote on social media: ‘Fresh off his appearance at AEW’s Double or Nothing Pay Per View, Iron @MikeTyson will make his #AEWDynamite debut’,
This is a massive coup for AEW, and it will be great for fans to see Tyson back in the pro wrestling world years after he appeared as the special enforcer as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin defeated Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XIV.
Tyson has been tipped to be involved in a trilogy fight with Evander Holyfield but Iron Mike has suggested that alternative opponents are in the running.
‘Listen we’ve got so many guys that want to do this man,’ Tyson told Lil Wayne on the rapper’s Young Money Radio show.
‘We’re in calls, we’re doing business with guys right now. You’re not going to believe the names when the names come out. Some time this week we’ll have the contract done.
‘And whatever money we get, it’s going to somebody else. I’m not going to make any money – probably the company, my wife because she’s partners with me, she’ll make some probably. But my money is going [to charity].’
