UPDATE: Power restored to 1,700 Lake Country customers

Roughly 1,700 homes now have power in Lake Country after an outage this morning.

An object on a power line caused the outage east of Pelmewash Parkway, according to B.C. Hydro. The outage included homes located to the east and north of Wood Lake.

The power went out at 7 a.m. today, May 15, according to BC Hydro.
