Karan Johar's Two House Helps Test Positive For Coronavirus

Karan Johar said that two members of his household staff have tested positive for COVID-19. He informed everyone that he and his family members will remain under self-isolation for the next fourteen days.

New Delhi: Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who is celebrating his 48^th birthday on Monday (May 25), took to Twitter to inform that two members of his household staff have tested positive for Coronavirus. The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director said that as soon the symptoms were detected, the two house helps were put under quarantine in a section of his building.

"I'd like to inform you that 2 members of our household staff have tested positive for Covid-19. As soon as the symptoms were detected they were put under quarantine in a section of our building. The BMC was informed immediately, and the building has been fumigated and sterilised by them as per the norms," Karan Johar said in a statement.

The 'Koffee With Karan' host said that he, his family members and other staff took the swab test on Monday morning and tested negative for COVID-19. He added that they will remain in self-isolation for the next 14 days.

"The rest of us in the family and the staff are all safe and display no symptoms. We have all taken the swab test this morning and have tested negative, but will remain in self isolation for the next 14 days for the safety of everyone around use. We stand by our commitment to safeguard everyone and have ensured that all the measures prescribed by the authorities have been strictly adhered to," the 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' director further said.



A few days back, Boney Kapoor's three house helps had tested positive for COVID-19. The 'Wanted' producer and his daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor underwent tests after their domestic helps contracted Coronavirus; however, they tested negative.

Talking about Karan Johar, the producer-director celebrated his lockdown birthday with his kids Yash, Roohi and mother Hiroo Johar. He gave a glimpse of his birthday celebrations on his Instagram handle.
