People celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr at their residences in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad, as mosques across the country remained closed following Centre's COVID-19 guidelines.

People celebrated Eid at their residences by offering 'namaaz' with their loved ones. People were seen offering prayers while keeping social distancing and other safety norms in mind.

"Due to COVID-19, we could not celebrate Eid, and so we offered prayers at home. We have been told not to go to Masjids or step outside. In our prayers, we wished for coronavirus problem to finish," said Waseem, one of the locals.

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramzan, which is a month of fasting and prayer for the Muslim community.
