The Young and the Restless star Camryn Grimes has confirmed she is bisexual.

The actress plays Mariah Copeland in the soap and fans have been watching her character in a lesbian relationship on the NBC drama.

And while speaking about another role she would like to play, the actress shared her truth with fans on Twitter.

Following the news that Ruby Rose is no longer playing Batwoman on CW’s Batwoman, Camryn chucked her name into the hat of potential replacements.

The actress tweeted: ‘Can I be the next @CWBatwoman??’

And when one fan replied: ‘As AMAZING as this would be and as much as I support this idea, I think they’re looking for an out LGBT actress for the role.’

Camyrn stated: ‘I’m bisexual.’

Another fan wrote: ‘You have to be at least this [amount of] bi to ride that ride.’

And Camryn stated: ‘Good thing I am then!’

While she later explained that she came to terms with her sexuality by talking about it with others.

She added: ‘Honestly feel stupid I didn’t come to the conclusion sooner.’

Ruby Rose shocked Batwoman and DCEU fans everywhere when, after only one season, she inexplicably quit her leading role.

The first openly gay superhero on television, Ruby will now be cemented in superhero legend as a groundbreaker, with the queer star proudly playing the character for the past two years.

But now the team have the unenviable task of finding someone to fill in her Batsuit in time for season two to start production.
