Suspect sought after man shot, killed near L-202 and 44th Street

PHOENIX — Police are asking for help from the community after a homicide in Phoenix Sunday.

Officers were called to a home near 44th Street just south of the Loop 202 after 5 p.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim, a 49-year-old man, with gunshot injuries.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police say the suspect and victim were reportedly in an argument before the shooting. The suspect has not been located.
