Update: The first game from June 2020's PS Plus update has been announced, but it's not Marvel's Spider-Man, perhaps as expected. Call of Duty: WWII will be part of June's PlayStation Plus lineup. We'll need to wait until later in the week for the rest of the selection.

Original Story: There's a rumour going around right now that says Marvel's Spider-Man is going to be a PlayStation Plus title for June 2020. While it's impossible to say that this definitely won't happen, we'd advise against getting your hopes up. Yes, Sony has been known to add some quality exclusive games to the subscription service in the past, but this whole rumour is based on a PlayStation Store bug that we've seen plenty of times before.

As far as we can tell, the rumour originated on Reddit, where somebody snapped a picture of Marvel's Spider-Man, complete with a 'Free' PS Plus tag on the aforementioned storefront. Since then, a number of people have been able to replicate the listing, but again, this is a bug that seems to pop up every few weeks. It hasn't been an indication of incoming PS Plus titles before, and it isn't now.

Sony has actually already announced one of the PS4 games making up June 2020's line-up. Head on through this link to find out what it is.

Would you take Marvel's Spider-Man through PS Plus? Do we even have to ask? Shoot some web in the comments section below.
