Jeffrey Epstein's complex web of girls and money is explored in the new Netflix docu-series

Jeffrey Epstein's 'trade' in girls has been compared to a 'pyramid scheme' ahead of a new documentary series about the paedophile billionaire.

The upcoming series is set to delve deep into the shadowy world inhabited by the disgraced financier.

Epstein committed suicide in his prison cell last August, aged 66, while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Netflix has released the official trailer for the documentary Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich which will land online on Wednesday.

Ahead of its release, his accusers and investigators have described his 'trade.'

The series will feature first-person accounts from his accusers and investigates failings in the US justice system that allowed him to continue preying on women.

According to the streaming giant, the four-part series will chart how Epstein ran 'an international sex trafficking ring.'

It will also accuses him of 'abusing women and underage girls for decades', according to Netflix.

A series of voiceovers from interviewees who took part in the documentary describe Epstein and his 'ever-revolving door of girls' in the preview.

One describes him as a 'Gatsby-like figure,' referring to the enigmatic millionaire titular character in F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel, The Great Gatsby.

Victim Haley Robson's voice can be heard in the trailer for the four-part documentary series which begins streaming on Wednesday.

“These girls brought other girls too,” she says.

Ms Robson told the documentary's filmmakers that she had initially rejected Epstein’s advances — but wound up recruiting girls for him at a price of $200 each (£165).

She will reportedly allege in the documentary that she recruited 24 underage girls, mostly friends and classmates, to Epstein’s home.

In the trailer she can be heard saying: “It’s a trade. And it goes on and on and on."

Attorney Brad Edwards is also slated to speak in the documentary.

The lawyer representing victim Courtney Wild, whom he met after the FBI started investigating Epstein, will claim his team put together a flow chart of victims - only to realise it could end up being five times as big as the poster board it was on.

"We had to prove that this pyramid of underage girls in Palm Beach was true," Mr Edwards said according to the newspaper.

"It didn't start from just a random underage girl walking into the house."

Netflix has said the documentary will follow how Epstein preyed on girls, allegedly with the assistance of his friend, Ghislaine Maxwell.

The trailer features footage surveying the 'so-called Paedophile Island,' where Epstein accused of ferrying young women to entertain himself and his guests.

Epstein 'sex slave' Virginia Giuffre also makes a cameo in the trailer.

Ms Giuffre, now Roberts, has alleged that Prince Andrew had sex with her when she 17.

The royal has flatly denied all allegations.

The Duke of York gave a car-crash interview to the BBC in November, which led to his withdrawal from public duties.

The documentary is executive produced by Joe Berlinger, who was also behind the hit Netflix true crime series Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.
