Police arrest man after 'shirtless' motorbike rider leaves boy, 9, seriously injured in hit-and-run crash at playing fields

A man has been arrested after a young boy was seriously injured following a hit-and-run on an east Hull playing field.
Police rushed to Rosmead Park in Hull after the nine-year-old boy was hit by a motorbike around 12pm on Monday.
The collision has left the boy with serious and life-changing injuries and he is being treated in hospital.
The rider, who police say was topless and riding without a helmet, fled the scene.
Humberside Police launched a huge appeal to find the rider of the bike.
A section of the park was cordoned off and the police helicopter was deployed as officers searched for the culprit.
However, Humberside Police have confirmed they have now arrested a man in connection with the incident.
A Humberside Police statement said: 'Man arrested in connection with a collision which has caused serious injuries to young boy on Rosemead Park today shortly after midday today.
'Thanks to the public for their help in sharing our appeal.'
