Man United keeping tabs on Bournemouth's David Brooks and Josh King - reports

The Welsh international appears to have come onto United's radar

Manchester United are reportedly tracking Wales and Bournemouth star David Brooks, as they continue to draw up contingency plans in the event their pursuit of Dortmund's Jadon Sancho ends in failure.

WalesOnline already understands that Rabbi Matondo is among the list of names on United's shortlist of options, although England international Sancho is believed to still be their number one target.

Now, fellow Welshman Brooks appears to have come onto United's radar.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Brooks, and Cherries team-mate Josh King, are both being tracked ahead of the summer window.

Brooks hasn't yet played any competitive football this season following a serious ankle injury in July, but returned to light training back in February, and is likely to be available should the Premier League resume on the back of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 22-year-old, who has previously been linked with Tottenham and Arsenal, spent 10 years at the academy set-up of Manchester City before making a breakthrough with Sheffield United in 2017, and has since been tipped for big things with club and country.

United's interest in the Wales international may well be linked back to Ryan Giggs, who seems to be having an increasingly heavy influence on the transfer policy at his former club.
