Amazon Handmade launch Rainbows of Hope storefront in support of NHS

There are 20 products available in the range with a portion of sales going to NHS Charities Together

by

Earlier this month, John Lewis started selling a specially designed bone china mug online to help customers show their support for the NHS and all frontline workers during the Covid-19 crisis.

The £8 ‘cup for carers’ was made in Jamestown, West Dunbartonshire, using an illustration from their in-house Design Studio.

One side of the mug has a rainbow with the words ‘Our Heroes’ underneath while on the reverse it simply says ‘Thank You’.

All proceeds from sales of the rainbow-themed mug will be donated to NHS Charities Together to help fund charity work - you can buy one online here and in Waitrose stores during your next essential food shop.

And now Amazon Handmade has launched a Rainbows of Hope storefront collection with prices starting from £1.95.

Amazon Handmade works a bit like Etsy - it's an online store that offers unique, handcrafted products made by certified creators from all around the world.

The new Rainbows of Hope storefront features rainbow designed products created by five UK small business owners from the Amazon Handmade network – PomChick, Manta Makes, KIO Cards, Mermaid Mary’s and That’s Nice That.

Amazon Handmade will be donating its referral fee from each product sold from the Rainbows of Hope storefront to NHS Charities Together – supporting NHS staff, volunteers and patients during the coronavirus pandemic and in the aftermath.

Katie Harnetiaux, Global Head of Amazon Handmade said: “Supporting the NHS staff and volunteers as well as small and local businesses in the UK is critical at this time.

“Rainbows are recognised across the UK as the symbol of Covid-19, representing hope and also acting as a symbol of thanks for the NHS. We want to create awareness and support for small business owners and our Makers across the Amazon Handmade network while providing vital funds to NHS charities across the UK.”

A total of 20 products are available from the dedicated Amazon Handmade and Rainbows collection while stocks last here.
