New Widebody Kit Gives Corvette C8 Stingray Supercar Looks

A vented hood, widebody fenders, and a whole lot of attitude.

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has a lot going for it. One of its strongest selling points is that it looks like a true supercar yet starts at under $60,000. But not everyone thinks that the C8 is aggressive enough, such as the guys at Eikon Motorsports that do Lamborghini-like scissor door conversions for the Corvette.

Now, Sigala Designs has turned up the heat even more with its new Corvette C8RR Widebody Kit that makes Chevrolet's own visual upgrades look seriously tame by comparison. In fact, the 32-piece kit makes the C8 look like it has ingested a dangerously large dose of steroids.

At the front, the Sigala vented hood, front extended lip, and front bumper extensions add even more aggression to the C8's face, although speed bumps are unlikely to be this car's best friend. The side skirt extensions and side splitter extensions are highlighted by a red strip. At the back, besides the enormous high-rise wing, the standard car's square-shaped, quad exhausts are replaced by four rounded centralized pipes.

Of course, the wide body quarter panels are impossible to miss, as are larger wheels that are just barely contained by the arches. Wheel sizes weren't specified, but just by looking at them, we wouldn't be surprised if this Corvette was rolling on 22s.

The kit also contains an RR roof and a rear diffuser and will be available in a choice of full FRP (fiberglass), full carbon fiber, or a mix between the two. Pricing hasn't yet been announced but we don't expect the kit to come cheaply.

The bigger problem, though, seems to be getting hold of a 2020 C8 in the first place. If you are one of the lucky few and want your C8 to generate the kind of drama reserved for the likes of a Lamborghini Aventador S, the C8RR Widebody Kit does the job - and then some.
