Sony PS4 series slashes its price in new promotion - Gizchina.com

According to information from Sony executives, the Sony PS5 will officially arrive later this year. However, to pave the way for PS5’s arrival, Sony PS4 promotion will go live in a few days. The upcoming promotion includes price cuts for both the console itself and the games. Today, PlayStation China announced through its official Weibo handle that the “Play Games World” summer tide promotion event will commence on June 1st.  According to the company, the promotion will be active for a limited time. There will be discounts on games and consoles. 

The PlayStation network’s first best-selling Chinese game “Hardcore Mecha” is part of the promotion. It will be available as a set which includes a PS4 Pro host (black 1TB) and a “Hardcore Mecha” game software. The usual retail price is 2899 yuan, but the active price will be 2599 yuan. However, this set will be exclusive to PlayStation Jingdong flagship store.

The first PS4 game based on China’s original IP, jointly created by the Chinese and Japanese teams “The Journey to the West Return” package will be available for a limited time (special event). The PS4 Pro “The Journey to the West Return” package contains a set of PS4 Pro host (black/glacial white 1TB), and a “Standard Edition” software of “The Journey to the West Return”. The usual retail price is 2949 yuan but the active price will be 2599 yuan.

There will also be a PS4 Pro dual-handle special sale for some time. It includes a PS4 Pro host (black / ice white 1TB) and an additional DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller. The usual price for this combo is 3179 yuan, however, the active price will be 2799 yuan. In addition, the usual retail price of PS4 (black / ice white 500GB) console is 1999 yuan. However, the active price will be 1899 yuan. Furthermore, the usual price of the PS4 Pro (Black / Ice White 1TB) is 2799 yuan while the active price will be 2599 yuan.

In addition to the game console discounts, many game software also joins the rank of this special offer. Game software such as Horizon Zero Dawn, The Journey to the West Return, and Final Fantasy 15 will also be available for some time.

Like we said earlier, this announcement is from PlayStation China. This means that these deals are only available in China. For Chinese PlayStation fans, this may be a good time to get a new console. Unfortunately, the company did not state when the promotion will end.
